PARENTS AND EDUCATORS SERIES

The Parents and Educators Series aims to explain how to educate and care for children. Parents have to care for, educate and collaborate in building up their children’s personality; offering them optimum conditions for their physical, biological and psychological development, while guiding, directing, developing and perfecting the intellectual and moral capabilities of the child or young adult at the same time. Education is a long, gradual and essential process that begins in the home, culminates in school and has to last a lifetime.
EARLY LEARNING SERIES
Instilling love for reading is essential in order to guarantee the correct intellectual development in children. For this reason the Tutor Hércules Early Learning Series proposes to begin with toy books (made from padded cloth that can go in the bath, get wet and dirty, etc., without getting spoilt).
We consider that children should be read to aloud from an early age: poems and nursery rhymes to start off with, and later traditional children’s stories that will stimulate their imagination and transmit positive messages.
Finally, in order to ensure the child fully identifies with reading, we have opted for texts written by “very young authors”; in other words, texts written by other children of a similar age so that they can identify themselves with the tales and even feel encouraged to start writing their own stories.
PRIMARY SERIES: EDUCATION
The aim of this series is to familiarize children with the various areas of knowledge. Although they may have acquired the habit of reading, two major challenges remain: to develop their creativity and accustom them to study.
In order to make these challenges more accessible and attractive, the various school subjects have been turned into tales relating true stories, but narrated in such an entertaining manner that children will learn and have fun at the same time.
