A work whose mission is to raise awareness of this rich cultural heritage and the impressive artistic heritage that lies behind the Galician heraldry.

In past times, in a mostly illiterate society, the use of a specific coat of arms was the best procedure to identify a lineage, much important and determining than the surname itself. Therefore, the series of “Heráldica, Genealogía y Nobiliaria” aims to this discipline, since Galicia owns one of the richest and most varied groups of heraldic carvings of Europe.
