The new volume in the series of Economy, under the title “Galicia y su inserción exterior” (Galicia and its insertion abroad) tackles, among different aspects, Galicia situation and evolution after the inclusion of Spain in the EU, the way how european programmes influence the economic development of Galician community and the importance of internationalization as key to competitiveness.
The volume is completed with an extensive chapter on how Galicia faces the current recession. Among many other things, it allows us, by a very detailed analysis of different economic theories and financial points of view, to understand why some economists have been warning us for years about the current economic situation we are in, and the view of those who still nowadays say that we are not in the face of a real financial crisis yet
